What..? Does Elon Musk's upcoming Grok 3 have such a feature..?

Elon Musk has announced the upcoming launch of Grok 3, the next generation of xAI's Grok AI model. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Musk stated that the public launch will take place on Monday night at 8:00 p.m. Pacific time, accompanied by a live demo likely hosted on the platform.  He boldly claimed that Grok is the "smartest AI on Earth."

Anticipated Enhancements and New App

Musk has previously hinted at additions to Grok 3's training data, including "all court cases," suggesting the AI's potential for generating legal verdicts.

Reports also indicate that xAI is developing a dedicated Grok app, freeing users from relying on X for access to the AI model.

Background on xAI and Musk's Involvement in AI

xAI was launched in July 2023, marking Musk's return to the AI arena after co-founding OpenAI in 2015 and leaving its board in 2018.  The Grok 3 launch comes amidst a reported $97.4 billion bid by a Musk-led investor group for control of OpenAI, just a week prior.

Musk's Criticism of OpenAI and Sam Altman

Musk has been openly critical of OpenAI's transition from a non-profit to a for-profit entity under Sam Altman's leadership.  He has labeled Altman a "Swindler" and "Scam Altman" on X.  Following xAI's open-sourcing of Grok's weights and architecture last March, Musk also publicly challenged Altman to clarify the "open" aspect of OpenAI.

The AI Landscape and Musk's Vision

The launch of Grok 3 and the ongoing developments surrounding OpenAI highlight the rapidly evolving AI landscape.  Musk's involvement and his public commentary underscore his strong opinions and vision for the future of AI development and accessibility.

The upcoming demo will likely offer a glimpse into the advancements of Grok 3 and xAI's ambitions in the competitive AI market.
